Good question ODB, I've been looking for that myself.
If you look at price of gold in Euro's it has declined significantly in the last few weeks. In dollars it has remained remarkably stable. By comparison, the mining shares have been taken out and shot. I'm licking my wounds but fool that I am, am keeping my holdings pretty constant at 35% miners. I sold some and bought some more the last few days.

This morning is the first day in the last three that POG wasn't taken down before the opening in NY. I have noted how the XAU and NASDAQ have mirrored each other's movements. As this is the end of the month and end of the quarter, I expect that the NAS will be primed up for the next few days. The best performing days of the month are the last trading day and the first 4 of the next month. The rest of the month is on average a net negative.

The comparison of those two indices can be seen at:

Good trading,
