What I meant is this: what timeframe charts (and what technical indicators) are you using for your entries on your puts?

You seem to me to be a pretty sophisticated investor, so I don't have the impression that you are saying to yourself "well, it looks like we'll be going down sometime within the next few days, so I'll buy some puts now." My question had to do more with what technicals you use to time your trades.

I always like to try to get a handle on others' trading styles both to learn and to know how to interpret their comments on market direction and timing.
