Modest rally set for next week. Here's how I view the matter.

1) no great sell off as usual on Friday
2) the week of July 4th historically is a good one.
3) The stock recovery will sneak up on us....
4) the idea of capitulation is fast fading.
5) Nasdaq showed strength on closing

The Downside....

Cheney replaces Bush for a few hours on Saturday...during Bush's procedure. Hope that Cheney does not call his old buddies from Enron (Lay and Skilling) to help him out. As a precaution I have sent the Secretary of the Treasury an e-mail to keep all treasury vaults locked for the week-end.

I did not get filled on my options today. I have a good till cancelled order to sell some July 10's (orqgb) at a limit of $.70. I thought that it would go off as as ORCL approached $9.90. Thinking has always got me in trouble...

Have a good week-end.....Jerome
