Note that I've managed to let you know what I think your tactics without resorting to calling you names.

"Wouldn't that be a better way of supporting and promoting your views?"

Not if the person is just insulting someone (or me) with no basis. In my view you need evidence to charge someone with a crime. If there is none, what evidence do you suppose I provide to counter the claim? When I call someone a name for slandering someone I will tell them why I am calling them names. It is up to them to support their insults. If they cannot, they deserve my insult (imo). If they can, I will retract my insult and apologize. Note that I am NOT calling them a name to support my views. I will use reason and logic for that. Like I said before, I am letting them know what I think about them because of their unsubstantiated attacks.

"Note that I've managed to let you know what I think your tactics without resorting to calling you names"

Good point. Note that I have done the same with you. If you had called me name or lied about your position I may have responded differently. You are a more civil person than me if you can keep from responding to insults. I like to let them know what I think. Sorry if that offends you.

It is ok in my view to get angry (and show it) if there is just cause. Being polite when attacked is to politically correct for me. When I post you will usually know where I am coming from.

Allen, it's about freedom of style. If for example mr. rexley calls anyone a vulgar anus based upon my reading of hundreds of mr. rexley's post I am certain he has correctly identified and provided positive feedback to a genuine vulgar anus.

Other post here and choose a different style. But there are real vulgar anus who post hear and real name callers. The difference is in the truth of the description used. Mr. rexley is very accurate.
