It is interesting that we become so arrogant as to require something "a declaration of faith in God" when coercing such a declaration is forbidden by God. I hate to be the one always making this point, but it needs to be made. We don't know what is or isn't forbidden by God. All we know is what certain humans who claim to speak on God's behalf tell us. Whether any individual decides to believe what those humans say is up to that individual, but it is important to recognize that there is a factor of uncertainty there.
