The brokerages' talking heads were annoying, but that's the media's fault for giving them air time without any accountability. In a similar vein, one sight I'll never forget was when Good Housekeeping or some such similar magazine had a cover story about mutual funds and how to choose the very best one. Incredible. What an experience this has been, and it's ongoing. Yes, you, too, can find Abby Jo's latest stock picks in Barron's. She liked CHKP in the 40s, so now she likes it more in the teens. Jeez. PB
