Hello Allen......" The Hebrew tribes invaded the area in Biblical times, and did settle there for a while, but I don't see how that gives them some kind of holy claim to the land.".....

They settled there ( the Jews )for about 2000 years. And the arabs invaded the area in Biblical times and did settle there for a while but I don't see how that gives them some kind of holy claim to the land.

So what would give people the right to claim the land?

Take care
Lorne

You're right, that land was heavily occupied by Arabs prior to 1948, and they were invited to stay and help build and cultivate the land... but they left that area under the poor advice of their Arab leaders who told them they would all be wiped out if they stayed... the Arab leaders at that time promised to drive Israel into the sea... well, that never happened and those that chose to stay were not wiped out, but rather, they're part of the culture, they live in peace, they have homes, they have jobs, their kids go to schools, they have elected positions in government, and so on... now, after the Israeli's turned that desert area into the proverbial "land of milk and honey," those that left on their own free will and under the poor advice of their leaders want to "claim" they were robbed... this is the hoax... certainly, some of these people may have come from that area and they're still welcome to return to Israel, even now, and join the culture and become contributing members of that society, but they don't want to do that, they would rather play the victim card which works so well with groups here in the U.S., but most all of them came from Jordan and Egypt... I know my history, the problem is that many here in the West are considerably misinformed.....
