It seems to me that the title of that article is total spin.The housing bubble is not so much about demand lead by demographics ,but rather about home owners paying more than they can afford.No mention is made about the historicly low value of home equity, nor the effect on the market should owners have problems paying their monthly installments.
Bear in mind that just last year the US gov. was supposed to be running surpluses well into the near future.
Home ownership is as much about economics as demographics,unfortunately economics forecasts are much less reliable than demographic ones.
Ps. of corse rampant inflation ,in an ironic way ,could make the title accurate.
