Question is did he?

With the aid of Hulbert and gullible believers, he's learned that he can continue to give "off the books advice" and tout it as he did with MSFT when people complain his returns are not wonderful compared to the indexes in a bull market... He can say adding 4% MSFT and moving it to HOLD in 1995 on NBR made up for his under performance during the bull market. Even better is he can ignore the off the books stuff like QQQ, TEFQX and VOD Holds when they under perform.

Charts suite101.com

We all remember how for years "Don Lane- Call me mister topes" would hammer me and others with "but MSFT and VOD have done so well... you forget about those great calls when you complain about UTEK, ONTK, STII, etc..." but we sure don't hear mister topes "call me Don Lane" or Bob Brinker on the radio telling us how well MSFT, VOD, TEFQX and QQQ have done since he recommended not going to 100% cash so you can hold some appreciated stocks such as these or even buy TEFQX.

Yes, he has learned... He has learned that he can get away with off the books advice as it makes his boss, ABC/Disney, look better.

i hypothesized that bob could have been a bull market genius when the bull market was in full effect and most people were extolling his genius.

some got offended when i said a monkey with a buy button in front of him probably would've outperformed during the bull...

now i think people know why i said i couldn't rate bob in a bull market mania. the fact is, bob is waiting for the bull market to come back and bail him out the way it did for so long.

it ain't gonna happen b/c bob looks like a one way wonder.

he ripped people who made rational calls in an irrational market and can't pony up to his own errors.

this is immaturity, folks, plain and simple. a bull market genius doesn't fair too well in bear market.
