You're gonna lose this one. If you're talking about us non-believers losing the fight about the court case, I have almost no doubt about it. Which is why I said I wish the Bozo hadn't sued. I agree that the status quo ain't bad and the potential for improvement is not worth the risk of what the Supremes might do next. If you're talking about losing the fight on the thread, I have no interest in winning or losing any of them. That's not what I'm here for. If you don't like losing, you can bail on me. It's OK. I've already gained some insights from the process and generated a few endorphins while I was at it. And perhaps a few others have gotten an insight or two as well. Neo and I have been going around and around forever about where the onus is to smooth over inter-cultural conflict. He says it's up to the minority to accept its position and adapt as long as there is no real persecution involved. I say that the majority should be magnanimous to the extent that it should listen actively to the distress of the minority and be willing to make reasonable accommodation. I will never change my mind about that or quit arguing that point.
