Baby boomer spending won't peak until about 2008.

Hi Dale -- Yes I agree with that megatrend prediction. In 2008, the oldest baby boomers will be age 42 - 62. But I feel that megatrend analysis overlook that by the time a baby boomer couple reaches 45 - 50, they will be coughing up $100,000 - $200,000 on their kids college education. If 1956 is the baby boomer's median year, the 45 - 50 years later is 2001 - 2006. 2003 is sort of in the middle of that range.

You know me Dale -- I've always got to put an original spin on whatever facts are presented to me, lol.

As long as we're on the subject --- by 2016, the median age baby boomers children will start turning 30. They will be net investors for 10+ years. The oldest baby boomers will be turning 70. By 2026, baby boomer children will be saving/spending in full force as well as inheriting from the oldest baby boomers.

...... Of course by 2026, If I'm still around, I will be 69 years old and I won't give a shit, lol.
