....but there are questionable passages in the Quran, and Haddith, that concern me. I was told by one Muslim proponent that there are 40 ways to interpret the meaning of the Quran. That seems a little too flexible for me. It gives too much leeway for fanatics like Osama....

I agree on that. It is because of the multiple interpretations where each interpretation could be right, that some Muslim followers broke away and formed the Baha'i faith with their own interpretation of Islam. Bahaullah Khan, as the name suggests was a Muslim. He formed his own interpretation of Islam and was ultimately persecuted by the Muslim monarchs of the Ottoman empire. Remember though he never referred to Muslim, he did not denigrate it but he took one of the 40 interpretations. Disclaimer: I am not a Bahai and I am not trying to promote it

I believe that President Bush is showing the heart of a statesman far beyond what many expected from him. I am proud of the efforts he is making, and look forward for many more.

I agree. I didn't vote for him. But today I am not ready to say I will vote for him, but at the same time I would not say that I will not vote for him. He has two more years.
