For some reason the proposals you are trying to offer for substantive discussion, which seem to me although original, not obscure, seem to trigger deafness. Id trumps ego and superego both. This is just my impression.

If it were up to me, all repeat violent offenders would be sent to Devil's island. One way trip. OK. With the Coast Guard on patrol to keep them there. The offender in this case was Larry Singleton. I'm not sure he was a repeater at the time of butchery (literally) of that woman. He may have been, but I don't recall that being said at the time. Assume that this was his first violent. What would your sentence be? The murder Ish mentioned was in FL. FL finished what CA wouldn't: they offed Singleton.
