Now E, I have a different idea on capital murder. Allot $500k for every defense. No public defenders. PIs, DNA to be allowed. Then if they are guilty hang them. Soon.

America the Beautiful is based on a constructive conspiracy among its participants to believe in, maybe 'revere' isn't too strong a word, certain values that are enshrined in our founding documents. Odd how that reverence seems to diminish in certain sectors when portions of those documents - like the non-establishment clause - conflict with personal beliefs and prejudices. Immigration is nothing new to America, and the perception of immigration as a threat to American culture is nothing new either. The culture will change, as all living cultures do. Some will think it's changing too fast. Some will think it's changing too slowly. There will be conflict, and resolution. Our task is not to eliminate conflict - that's impossible - but to make sure that the conflicts are resolved in a relatively civilized way. None of this is anything terribly new....
