I've gone over the the bright side. From here on out, I believe in the "coincidence theory". It was a coincidence that Enron used off-shore partnerships. It was a coincidence that WorldCom books expenses as capital expenditures. It was a coincidence that the U.S. ended up with military bases in the Caspian basin after 9/11.

Yup, every one of them. A coincidence.

World got too complicated for the average guy. Hence the easiness of manoeuvring the mass.
Even if he had truth put right in front of his eyes he wouldn't recognize. Would find it alien to his level of understanding of how things work in the real world.

He would call, perhaps, paranoia?
