The speed of the decline / rise is unprecedented it all moved for over 6 weeks in a straight line at a time that the underlying fundamentals have signaled a different tune.

I think this is related to the outstanding derivatives. Currency hedges and what not, tend to provide positive feedback loop once a change in direction begins. But I have no real evidence of this.

Whether it's $$ or stock market one must remember that they outdid themselves to rediculous levels on the way up as well. AS far as fundamentals signalling a different tune, if you're talking $$ it's still overvalued compared to most currencies on a PPP analysis by quite a bit no????
