You do live in a magical place, Ratty. Great description, too. I could see it all. When I came into the office (houseboat) this morning, there were 3 Blue Herons hunting from the dock. They've been here for close to two weeks, working the area. They've gotten quite used to me walking by, and stopping to talk to them. They let me get within about 5 feet now. It's great to just sit and watch them work from that close.....patient, stealthy hunters that strike like lightning. They are over three feet tall with such beautiful, subtle variations in their plumage. Night Rat, Scott
