funny, you don't sound any more psychotic than you usually do. It must be the weather. face it, no one will use linux until they de-unix it and get some apps. And nobody will port apps until it has good rad tools and better windowing software. joe user will not use it until the gui is up to snuff and he does not need man files or mount /dev/fdo /floppy and umount and have o fight his way through file permissions just to get a file to copy to another disk or user. denis ritchie does not use unix. go figure. he figures cursors are a bane, and wrote them out of his plan 9 operating system. ever try to write an editor in unix or linux?
