My wife does taxes. She has her own practice and also works for other people part time during tax season. She had been working for a JW until a couple of years ago. He tried to convert her, she wouldn't, he fired her.

Good lord.

Someone told him that she was once one. Lapsed members are supposed to be shunned by active members and he made her life a living hell for three or four months before she finally had enough and threatened to sue the company for discrimination.

What happened then? Was the JW removed from oversight of her, or what?

I didn't know that about the shunning requirement. If I'd known it, I would have mentioned it to the JW"s who used to come here frequently. I wonder what happened to them, now that I think of it. Have they stopped knocking on doors?
