Then you are wrong.

There is a clear difference between capital punishment and torture. The intent and purpose of torture is to inflict pain. The intent and purpose of execution is to cause death. AND, with lethal injection, it appears that we can do so without inflicting pain.

Your argument is like arguing a kiddie car and an F-16 are exactly the same machine because they are both means of transport.

You argue that USSC has been wrong before and has reversed itself before. But for that argument to be meaningful in this case, you must argue that the Court has been wrong for over 210 years, An unlikely prospect.
