Typical Watson response. Rather than admitting an honest mistake, goes on some rant with no basis in fact.

The word 'original' refers to the historically original Constitution, first written in 1787 and effective 1788 when the ninth state (New Hampshire) ratified it. The Bill of Rights are, in fact, the first ten amendments of that ORIGINAL Constitution. Even in your twisted language, how can an amendment be part of the original Constitution.

So, are you capable of a reasonable debate on the First AMENDMENT, or will you continue to devolve into something more akin to my 3 year old son on a bad day?

Bears repeating: Under God, In God We Trust and So help me God establish no particular religion.

To me that is self evident.

I must admit to another error. Article 6, clause 3:

"The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."

So, the sole reference to religion in the 'original' Constitution (Mr Watson, that means the original, without the amendments, which is the definition of original; just want to make sure that you are crystal clear on that) is to make sure that there are no religious tests for qualification of public office.

Hmm, maybe that could be interpreted as support for religion in government. Nah, that would be a very vacant headed view.
