Hey, something just occurred to me. The term "Death Penalty" is an oxymoron.

The standard meanings for the word Penalty require the inclusion of suffering in some way.

You may suffer in your person by experiencing pain, fear, trauma, property losses, incumbrances or loss of priviledge. We can observe the evidence for all of these experiences, under certain conditions, up to the point of death. But at crossing the point of death, we can not be assured of any suffering/penalty.

This supports my earlier contention that the sentence of Death may be a final resolution for irreconsilable criminal issues, but serves very little if any other construction.
