It's easy so far removed from the events in Afghanistan to forget what a brilliantly executed war plan it was. I can remember vividly the nay-sayers here who said we would never succeed without at least a hundred thousands troops on the ground. For the first time in recent history the tide of radical Islam has been turned back in a dramatic way. Our Muslim friends in Pakistan are now going after them in the mountains, and our troops are rooted them out every time they peak there head out of hiding. Millions of people have been saved from starvation, ignorance, and the strangle-hold of a radical Islamic government. We shouldn't forget that in the event Iraq is next.
