Yes, agreed - there would come a time when it would be prudent to "reduce" but not completely sell these positions. FWIW, I'm not using the precious metal sector as a hedge for my long positions in the broad market.

I have no long position in the broad markets...

I'm fully invested in the PM sector to become rich, and I'm betting, gambling or whatever else you want to call it - my own tolerance for risk is much higher than normal because of my 1) age... I'm only 38 and can easily start over again -- 2) My trading software is like Nintendo to me, in other words I think this is fun...

So please be careful on getting any advice - especially from me. :)
