One mining executive who appears to believe the bull run is not over is Gold Fields new chief executive Ian Cockerill, who stands alone amongst his peers as a buyer of his own company's shares over recent weeks. While senior executives at some of South Africa's other gold majors have been cashing in their options over the past month (DRD's Mark Wellesley Wood sold 75,000 shares in June) Cockerill, who is well known for his bullish outlook on the metal price, has bought more than13,000 Gold Fields shares.
