Are you saying that because of what we judge a failing now any person in the past who wrote something could not write a truth. I fail to see anything to reconcile. And Thomas Jefferson was not a guys.

The incredible wisdom of the Declaration of Independence is that our rights are given to us by our Creator, not given to us by a government of men, so they can take it away from us when they wish... this is the purpose of the Constitution, to protect you and me from tyrants who might try to rob us of our God given rights...

So, what is there to reconcile? What they wrote was brilliant, dazzling, and still resonates throughout our land today... this is what makes this country so incredible... do you think this country still exists today by accident? Just plain luck that we're the most powerful and richest nation in the world, where people still risk their lives and the lives of their families to come here? Get a grip...
