A woman friend of ours asked my wife if we could recommend a financial planner. The woman just found out her husband left their investments in high tech stocks for the last few years and nearly wiped out the money they were going to use to send their son to college next year. He "forgot to watch the investment."

<If they even suspect, they take the "trusted" word of their brokers/managers, and they don't even open their mutual fund statements.> my very despondent broker said when he does get a phone call it's just a client asking "when will this stop" and then they say "i am NOT even checking my statements anymore--i just don't want to look." So they will just passively drown as they keep repeating Peter Lynch quote ' only losers sell' Max BTW, my Broker, who started from nothing in 1982 and had gotten his portfolio to One Million dollars come the year 2000, is now down to 650,000. i say xxxx i begged you to sell how many times in 2000? xxxx "Many times" so i say, "why didn't you sell?" "I just never could believe what you were saying" " i say, xxxx, do you enjoy listening to Larry Kudlow?" and he replies " o I love Larry Kudlow, he always gives me hope" Unbelievable, but a totally true story. I think it says a lot about everything. Max
