Tommy, the most ignorant ranting fascist:

Q: thousands of people alive that must be fed and hidden...

A: In fact millions were aided in Afghanistan by billions in Saudi and CIA money, with millions of schoolbooks for the past 20 years to be sure they had a good idea of how to behave, and training in terrorism.

There is plenty of support out in the open in Pakistan, from which the last $100,000 was wired to Mo Atta just before his crew slammed into the WTC.

Your supposition is that there is a limited number of such extremists, and that we can kill, capture or convince.
Since we helped create the ones in question, perhaps one might claim that.

However, now that we've shown the way of extreme terrorism against the Russians, what about the small fraction of the other billion?
That's millions of extremists out in the open
It is being said Osama would win a popularity contest today among hundreds of millions of Arab Muslims.
That's not a good thing.
It is a thing made worse by US invasions, planned and underway, for political and economic reasons.
These invasions are clearly not for the purpose of increasing security in the homeland, since according to the administration, the threat has increased.

As a continuing example -- it has been posted here that Columbia warlords opposed to US presence now say we should expect terrorism in the US due to our presence in Columbia.
This kind of terror-mongering undercuts the security of our country for the benefit of military and administration warlords.

Not much humor in that.
