Hi Glenn,

Nice to hear from you. :)

Re: Does this mean that you are willing to let Ebbers keep the $400 million that he borrowed from WCOM?

Of course not! I wasn't trying at all to say Ebbers ought to be treated with kid gloves. I was merely pointing out that there's a cabal including George Bush, Cheney, Pug Winokur, Ashcroft, Pitt and others who are doing everything possible to shield Kenny Boy from justice.

Re: Lay is certainly not off the hook.

Look at the way the investigation was handled. While Ebbers assets have been frozen, Lay is to this day free to move his assets off-shore as he pleases. Unless I've missed some news, and I do pay attention. And look at the remarkably slack way that the DoJ approached the sequestering of evidence last fall after Enron restated. The DoJ didn't lift a finger until Enron and Andersen had months to shred documents, erase hard drives and re-write history. It is a scandal in itself how the DoJ was complicit in the obstruction of justice!

Re: The Enron indictments will probably start to come down in late summer or early fall.

I'll bet you a Christmas bottle of Piper Heidsieck Brut that the Enron criminal proceedings start no sooner than the week after Thanksgiving. The civil suits in Judge Harmon's court are scheduled for December, 2003!

Lay is getting the best justice money and a bought-off President can buy.
