Common, Re: "buying now would be foolhardy in such an oversold market"

Why would buying be foolhardy in an oversold market? Do you think that things will continue to hit "new" bottoms? What are you expecting?

"These are not normal times

and buying now would be foolhardy in such an oversold market.

Earnings are serious lacking and so is integrity. "

First, the conventional meaning of "oversold" is that prices have been pushed down below where fundamentals suggest they should be.

Second, extrapolating from the Enron and Worldcom events, even throwing in Tyco, Adelphia, and Martha Stewart Omigalacticmedia, to stocks like AMD and Intel is silly.

As money drains out of the scandal-ridden companies, I expect it to eventually flow into companies with tangible products and real futures.

But I'm happy for you that you are using the excuse of an "oversold" market to not buy any stocks whatsoever.
