SOX members ALTR, BRCM and INTC all hit new 52 week lows today although ALTR actually closed up due to an upgrade this morning:

The SOX closed a little over 5 points above the 52 week low of 343.93. Of the major technology indices only the SOX and the Hardware Index remain above their 52 week lows as far as I can ascertain. The HWI is still better than 10% above its lows:

Still far too many people buying at what they believe are solid support levels. The question is when only two technology indices are above their 52 week lows and all others are below them why should the support levels hold for the SOX and the HWI?
