They can already do this. More easily than they can get on a plane. And the same thing can be done repeatedly by the same people. This is obviously not true of suicide bombings. :-)

There are obstacles, though. Getting things into checked luggage wouldn't be easy. And if it's in carry-on, it might be spotted by the inspectors. Maybe. :-)

I'm writing this, thinking that the next attack will be almost anywhere but on an airplane, BTW.
Yup. Good strategy. Hit them where they aren't.
