"US econ being least unattractive" still aint appealing this line of justification reminds me of typical alcoholics they claim the older brother is a worse drunk we in America suffer from financial arrogance in our economy, in our trade, in our stock & bond markets so what if Europe is softer? they are safer so what if Japan is comatose? they might soon awaken we are not the only game, just because we have business freedom we also have incredibly lax white collar crime statutes bigtime complexity in financial networks invites deception who will catch it? after how long? how to detect it? any indictments yet for Enron executives? no we act as if the world has no alternatives to our financial markets there is always money market funds for a few months there is always GOLD our arrogance is TOTALLY inconsistent with our "beggar thy neighbor" necessities !!! / jim
