today's accounting fraud star is Vivendi

giving us also today's resigning CEO star, Messier

Markets were already deep in the red when the story over improper accounting surfaced, given a late sell-off on the US Nasdaq that left the technology index at a 5 year low. In Europee, financials, drugs and telecoms all declined.
