Another ray of hope here that will support electric and NG demand growth: ECRI: US industrial sector is on the mend By Rex Nutting Signs of a recovery in the industrial sector are pervasive and unambiguous, said Lakshman Achuthan, managing director of the Economic Cycle Research Institute. The JOC-ECRI industrial price index "is pointing clearly to the sustainability of the cyclical industrial upturn," ECRI said in a release. The index has risen from -20.5 in January to 19.5% in July, "a highly significant resurgence," ECRI said. "The message is unambiguous. Despite the uncertainties that have taken a toll on stock prices in recent weeks, the U.S. economy, and the industrial sector in particular, is on the mend," ECRI said.

I think politics and religion should be kept to the occasional, passing comment; anything more and you risk derailing an informative thread. This is not a moderated thread (compare the title line of HTP, which is moderated, with the title line here). HTP for the last 5 months or so has had exactly one person on exclude, by the way. In any event, the BBR is stuck with the ignore button. Finally, let's be fair. Anyone who posts 73 messages in a day on SI of the "Ray variety" is, or needs to be, on medication. I've said this a few times: Ray is a certifiable crackpot, the kind of guy you find hammering aluminum cans flat and then tacking them on his double wide as an uber-roof not only to keep out the cosmic rays but also to thwart a third kidnapping by extraterrestrials. One ends up cheering for the extraterrestrials, don't one? Kb
