I've heard similar to that from my sister-in-law (talking about the last 15 years, mind you). If the crop is good the farmers sit at the bar and complain how the harvest has driven the price down. If the crop is poor, they sit at the bar and complain that they don't have enough corn to profit from that great price out there.

In either case, they're sitting at the bar...
