PAX Paxson Comms reduces Q2 guidance (4.55 -0.40)
Revises Q2 EBITDA forecast to a range of $3-$4 mln from previous estimate of $8 mln. PAX now sees flat revenues vs previous guidance of a mid single digits increase. Blames weakness on softening infomercial biz caused by greater competition and FTC crack-down on marketers of certain electronic abdominal exercise belts.

I said something similar last Dec I think: we already have TV. However, this author failed to note much more: the need for last-mile solutions, the indications that wireless will surpass DSL and cable to provide it, yes.... even this period of SmartMoney's solar activity (which can disrupt wireless), the simple economics that will force broadband prices down, to more affordable levels.... and ultimately, many reasons beyond broadband-as-TV will emerge.

Broadband will eventually grow, but it's just weeding out the weakest, in the great economic natural selection process.
