The tripod is much too small. + the missile corpse seems to be lighted from the left, while there are no trace of shadow on missile or man.

The take off system is impressive for its simplicity, perfectly coherent with picture no 2 blurred smoke spots of seen rail.
So all said I believe this picture. Germans club were playing with these in the very early thirties, before Hitler banned all such games outside nazi supervision, and that's how they spotted Herr von der Moon.
But they had real tripods...
Meanwhile comp looks like he wants to push above its hourly head...will it ?
