It isn't just an earnings run-up.

Juniper has completed the acquisition of Unisphere (an edge router vendor and subsidiary of Siemens, AG) and announced that Siemen's will be its worldwide product reseller and service provider - tremendous news for Juniper.

This timely acquisition will provide Juniper with a wider product mix to effectively compete with rival CSCO. Combined earnings will be accretive in early 2003.

The big boyz apparently got the wind first. There have been huge block buys for days, including the one this morning.

JNPR had a huge write down so I expect them to beat earnings estimate by a WIDE MARGIN, but the revenue number will stink up the joint.
