SBC doesn't look too bad:

It certainly looks better than LU. Daily new lows on it are becoming old hat:

There must be very bad stuff in the pipeline for LU. Either that- or the market is irrationaly fearful.

I hesitate to call bottoms in any of the telecoms. Mainly out of recent experience. But one has to think that telecom has a bright future. Information is the future. The biggest increases in college student enrollments this year are in the telecom field. Either they are all idiots- or they know something the market doesn't recognize. <ng>

The charts, unfortunately are not suggesting anything but continued bearishness. I'd like to see some technical bullishness before comitting anything else to the telecom toilet.
