Pro,
Got a call from your good buddy..Pat Robertson. Seems that since he missed his prediction about the world coming to an end in 1982, so he's decided to win the Kentucky Derby with some of your money. He wanted me to check with you and see if you have sent in your contribution to the 700 Club this month. He wants to buy another horse...the current one he has(bought with thumper money) is eating fast and running slow..

"Evangelist Criticized for Owning Race Horse

By Fred Jackson
April 30, 2002

(AgapePress) - Pat Robertson is under fire for his ownership of a race horse.

Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson says he does not bet and he does not gamble -- he just enjoys watching horses running and performing. That is apparently why he has invested more than half-a-million dollars in a racehorse.

Conservative columnist Cal Thomas feels Robertson's rationale is ridiculous. He quotes an interview Robertson did with The New York Times in which he says he regrets that horse racing is supported by gambling, but defends going to the track because he just likes to look at the horses as performers and to study their bloodlines.

According to Thomas, Robertson is trying to have it both ways -- which he says is a "familiar practice" among some religious leaders."

Bad when even Cal Thomas is on his case!
