Clapper, I put the top down and drove to the client site early this morning...walk in the door and the A/C is down. It is beaucoup hot and humid...this is unbelievable! They promise a fix in an hour. On transmissions....I had this whining sound in the 91 Saab convert....sure as shit...it was the transmission. The logical thing to do would be to put it out of it's misery..but nooooooooooooooooooo....our mechanic got a rebuilt tranny for $900...labor was a bear cause you gotta take out the engine to pull the tranny out...oops did I tell ya the part about the pressure plates and servo on the clutch?....he got some rebuilt parts there too. $2000 later I got me a full transplant survivor 1991 Saab Turbo convertible. Sheesh, this has been an expensive summer. Car runs great....I can get another 3-5 years out of it. I really love that car...it's got that nice throaty rap when you punch it and the suspensions on the 900T model are really tight. Hope you can work a good deal. Stay cool Altair19
