Product Manager New Product Development Location - San Diego, CA Job Req. w14282 Job Description The Product Manager will report to the VP, Product Management and will be responsible for the following: -Play a key role in supporting Cradle to Grave management of the product. Will identify and gather target market (s) and requirements for product/device. Manage and support product from initial design to implementation including product definition, proof of concept, business plan development and commercial launch. Develop and manage trials and vendors RFPs/relationships, facilitate focus groups and test marketing of product/device. - Coordinate between key stakeholders in Leap/Cricket to apprise of cost and progress. Solicit input from sales, marketing, distribution and engineering in all phases of product development through launch. -Provide support and help develop revenue plans and business cases. Conduct competitive analysis. -Assume day-to-day P & L responsibility for the individual products/feature, as well as, product quality, reporting, maintenance and enhancements. -Ensure proper content, marketing and sales are in place and equipped for product trials and launch. -Ensure back office (billing, provisioning, customer service) and reporting requirements and defined and in place for product launch. The qualified candidate will have the following: -5-10 years experience in engineering, marketing, or product management. - Minimum 3 years experience in product development, management or marketing of services or consumer based products (phones, PDA, internet services). -2 + years experience in managing large/complex projects, including full project life cycle or product development responsibility. -Strong strategic, analytical, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. -Possess the ability to implement and deliver on aggressive timelines.
