Poverty is and has always been the most difficult problem to deal with effectively. Situations involving children are the most heart wrenching. Out of wedlock births and the deterioration of the nuclear and extended family have only compounded matters. Education should be mandatory in more instances. I firmly believe in school lunch programs. Schools should be year round. The traditional summer vacation in school is a throwback to an agricultural culture when they weren't vacations. Some people get stuck in the cycle and can't hold down a job for more than 9 or 10 months without having a break. Shots and immunizations should be done in school just like the army. The tax system should be far less complicated than it is. Pedophiles should never get out of prison. Legitimate pain relief is not drug abuse. Intoxication by any drug is the same. Alcohol just happens to be legal. I am concerned with diminishing personal freedoms, but realize it is a management issue for the government facing a growing population. This isn't the Daniel Boone days where your closest neighbor lives 10 or more miles away. We agree on a great deal, but I'm sure we will find room for disagreement in the future.<grin>

Btw, I had a couple of typos where "murders" was used instead of "murderers", but I'm sure you understood.

Have a great evening,
Josh
