scott,

I may be Polish, but I ain't drinking McDonough's Kool-Aid.....

Re: the most famous Pole in the U.S. - kb's comment about hiring a good lawyer reminds me of the story about the early days for Robert Goiuzeta(sp?) as the head of KO. He was faced with a bill wending its way through Congres which was going to have a huge impact on Coke's bottom line. If passed the legislation could be devastating. He didn't know how to form the lobbyist's arguments in opposition so he called his best outside counsel. The lawyer listened to the CEOs impassioned plea and without hesitation, said, "don't do anything." Goiuzeta followed the advice and the bill died in committee a month later. The lawyer sent his bill.... "$10,000.

Martha Stewart was a fool. She should have just ridden the stock down to her entry point and broken even. She would be $400 Million richer today. The Enron PR flaks wouldn't have been able to use her as a red herring, distraction and scapegoat if only she had a brain.
