true. I meant to say they're dealing with the aftermath of their respective bubbles. Dax is already down close to 50% since the top. I remember Haim mentioning that the average p'e there was 13. FTSE probably has a little more pain in store, but is already down 40%.

US market players are looking for capitulation every time the Dow goes down a 100 pts so they can get happy and buy again. I think we may finally get a bottom in the Dow after another 30 consecutive 100-point down days. <g>
