I still think the terrorist scare is way overblown;

that is not to say they can't stage "minor" attacks
which would be a blow to America but would have
little effect on the general morale. It just doesn't
make any meaningful military sense. Remember; these
attacks constitute actions of war, at least that is
how the U.S. has dealt with them.

9.11 was mighty pat so strike Independence Day. If
they're somehow capable of unleashing something on par
or worse than 9.11 then we're probably screwed anyway
so what's the point of keeping the public in a constant
state of excitement and trepidation.

But a fraud driven mess will always need sideshows to
divert attention from its crimes and blundering.
