Ted, I think it's a myth that AMD is merely a victim of the bad market out there. Certainly that has a lot to do with AMD's revenue shortfall, but it isn't enough to explain away a 33% drop in revenue. And this is even with flash revenues flat (though maybe that's not the case anymore).

This has an uncanny resemblance to 1999. At least K7 arrived sooner (in Q3) to save AMD's butt. Hammer still won't be here until Q1 of next year. AMD is likely going to burn through most of their remaining cash reserves going into the Hammer launch.
