Was I talking to you? Did I use your name or do you answer to POS or POS follower?

Most people other then true assholes intent on making trouble would leave a thread where they didn't agree with the thread founder. It would seem to me the thread founder has a right to talk about any damn thing they want to talk about, it's their thread. If the guest's to that thread don't like what is being discussed, well then rather then force the world to their view most would start their own thread or move on. Well that is most other then true assholes.

Its not only what Raymond says...

There is merit in the political content and a lot of us share his views.....at the very least its an opinion, and everyone is entitled to one....

Its the way he says it, peppered with personal insults, and the way he belittles everyone else's opinion, that's what puts people off, and the way he insists in engaging in a dialogue even when the other party would rather bury the hatchet.......

Seems like nothing else except a ploy for attracting attention.....any kind of attention......

If he really wanted to get his message across, he could do so in a civil way....that has better chances of making people sit up and listen....

Its a bit of corrective feedback fwiw. People on this and associated threads, are some of the most civil, gentle, friendly and least confrontational people on SI. JP probably tops the list. We argue, we discuss...but never with an intent of showing the other person down. If he can't maintain a dialogue with these guys, well, I have tough time believing he can maintain a dialogue with anyone at all....

Does that make sense to you ?

Life is too short...
