Shorts cover late to lock in weekly profits. Some are doing so now, to take the afternoon off and get a 4-1/2 day weekend.

Eod short-covering.We're watching machine trading today,and shorts seem much more worried than longs right now.Shorties are scared of the +150/50 gap up.I don't think there's going to be any attack on the U.S. over the weekend.The element of surprise(so vital on 9/11) is not there.
